Recognitions & Accomplishments

On January 2, 2017, Time for Tenderness was selected as the "Book of the Week" by ChatEBooks.com, an online service where readers can access a wide variety of novels from authors in many genres. Imagine my shock when I checked my Twitter account and saw the follow message! This novel was actually the first full-length book I'd ever written, and the story is as much about the complexity of love within a whole family as it is about love between the main characters Tony and Valerie. It remains one of my favorite books, so this honor is special to me. It certainly put a bright smile on my face and started my new year right.

The Dream Catcher Series was "Recommended" by USA Today blogger Shakir Rashaan on October 30, 2015. Here's what he said:

"And my final recommendation for this segment is the Dream Catcher series by Brynette L. Turner. There are three books in the series: Premonitions, Loving Night, and the most recent release that I’m showcasing, Heart Shadows. This series showcases the love between a psychic and her FBI husband, and seriously, what man can resist an FBI agent in a story?"

In December 2015, I was VERY honored to be recognized by AuthorClassifieds.com as the "Thriller & Suspense Author of the Year" for my Dream Catcher Series! Blending romance, suspense, and a touch of the psychic elements was a lot of fun and the novels were very well received. Never did I imagine, though, that they would bring my first award. The fact that the recognition came from people who deal with a wide group of authors and genres who appeal to many thousands of fans, some who started following me because of AuthorClassified events, really touched me and drove home the power of online relationships. It's humbling. I appreciate so very much the kindness and professionalism that always accompanies interactions with the ladies of this organization and deeply value this award.
