Loving Night

Chaz took a desk job at the FBI to protect the woman he loves from the psychic connection that pulls her into the middle of his dangerous investigations. Yet, when he is forced to lead another undercover assignment, she must be the one to keep him safe.

They think they understand how her predictive dreams work; but neither of them anticipates the way her gift is evolving. Nighttime dreams turn into daytime visions. Knowledge of what is happening with Chaz turns into an acute awareness of what other people are feeling. It’s new. It’s unpredictable. Neither of them understands these changes until an old enemy that she fears appears in new dreams.

Paul Watkins still wants Chaz dead. As Chaz and Stephanie work more closely on this new dangerous mission, it’s clear that there is no room for failure. They must bring this man to justice.

With danger moving closer to home, the threat becomes greater than ever. It only makes Stephanie and Chaz more determined. No one will destroy the life they are building. No one will weaken their bond. Every night they spend in each other’s arms only makes them stronger. But will they be strong enough to survive Paul Watkins and the evil that always surrounds him?

I am in love with Brynette Turner's writing style. Loving Night was such a good read, I did not want to put it down until I read the entire book. It has drama, suspense, and even though it is a fictional romance book, it is so true to life. I fell in love with Stephanie and Chaz characters. I am still waiting and hoping to find that rare love again, that shaped these two into one. This man stands up for his wife, and refuse to allow anyone to come in between their love and family, not even his job, or co-workers. This couple is also a testimony of how great a love can be if you can just work together, and not allow jealousy or job title rob you of the more meaningful things in life. I highly recommend this book, it is full of surprises and twists and suspense that will not leave you disappointed.

(4.5 stars) It's refreshing to read a romance where the romance is the focal point.

There are many people, and many issues surrounding Chaz and Stephanie, but not even her ability of precognition makes them lose sight of their love for each other. Settling into a new home and new job positions, the couple is content to revel in their "secret" marriage and enjoy a "normal" life as they look forward to the birth of their first child.

New dealings in the crime world bring sudden changes to Chaz's field office that could also change everything for his professional, and personal future. Chaz tries to make decisions that will have the least impact on his life and keep his wife safe, but change and growth in Stephanie's abilities leads her to do the direct opposite. Will this create conflict in their relationship?

I like Stephanie. She's steady and constant - even when she doesn't understand her dreams and visions, she doesn't dissolve into tears or self-pity. She reaches out to a wonderful support group of friends (Karen, Victor, Phaillin) who not only listen, but assist her in finding ways to deal with the new changes in her abilities. She's also very upfront and honest with Chaz. I love that. No hidden secrets or agendas that could create problems down the road.

I love Chaz. He is intelligent, logical and practical. He's also a man desperately in love with his wife. Where other men would choose job obligations or chances for advancement in a heartbeat over their marriages, that is not the case with Chaz. He will always choose Stephanie. Situations at work and Stephanie's dream will lead him in a direction he never planned to go, but he handles it. Even if he wasn't in love with Stephanie, experience (and life) has taught his to trust in her ability.

Once again Ms. Brynette L. Turner you succeeded in keeping my attention from start to finish. I just love the characters in the book especially Chaz and Stephanie. Karen, Victor, Palin, and Steve are awesome also. The book really keep you wondering what would happen next. I can't wait for Book 3 I'm just hoping that Chaz and Stephanie continue to be happy and work and live as a TEAM (hint hint...lol). I give Loving Night...Dream Catcher Series 2 10 stars.

This was my first time reading Ms. Turner's work. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed Chaz and Stephanie's relationship. Chaz made a decision to put his woman first even before his career.

I think the author did a great job telling this story. It's an easy read and flows very well. Even the details of set-ups, attitudes and demeanor was so clear. I could see most of it in my head. To me that makes for a good read.
